Meet the team

Bree Iman Clarke
Founder & Creative Director

Favorite Plant & Why:Oh gosh can I have more than one? I love Rex Begonias. Because the true diversity of them is beautiful. Their leaves are captivating and a glorious reminder that not matter the size, shape or color we are simply stunning.

Personal Growth Tip:Keep Planting and sowing, living and knowing: Beautiful things take time, and that is ok.

Definition of Community:Knowing the difference between an audience & a community. An audience needs ongoing energy from you. A community is self-sustaining. Audiences can be bought. Communities are earned. The key is building your community with people, rather than for them. That is where the magic lies.

Carlos Clarke-President & CFO

Favorite Plant & Why:Fatsia Japonica…also known as the Spider Web Plant. I love it because it has such a dope look. The shape is very peculiar & familar. It is certainly a conversation starter.

Personal Growth Tip:Keep learning. The ability and desire to learn are powerful skills. That will always have a positive impact.

Definition of Community:Lean on one another. Uplift one another and reminder each other of the good even during the bad. This is my definition of community.

Antionette Douglas -In House Designer

Favorite Plant & Why? The Lemon Lime Maranta. It was the first real plant I purchased. Not only did it teach me how to take care and spend time caring for my plants but it also came with the meaning prayer plant. Prayer was something I was needing in my life at that time. Seeing it thriving in my room everyday was a constant reminder for me to stop and be grateful for the life I had been given.

Personal Growth Tip approach everything with grace!

Definition of Community: People coming together from every walk of life to better themselves and the community around then. Being open to learning and exploring things that are out of there comfort zone and meeting others where they are at.

Katherine- Store Director

Favorite Plant & Why: Fiddle Leaf Fig. They can be tricky, but when they are happy they are so beautiful!

Personal Growth Tip: You should never be the smartest person in the room. Surround yourself with people who have more connections and more experience.

Definition of Community: A group of people who will lift you up even when you aren’t in their immediate presence.

Nicole Marketing & Branding Manager

Favorite Plant & Why: A money tree is my favorite plant because it symbolizes prosperity and financial success, making it a meaningful and motivational presence in both personal and professional spaces.

Personal Growth Tip:

Audit who you are and what you want, then less spend time on what doesn’t align. Triple down on your strengths and passions.

Definition of Community:A community is like a support network on steriods—connected people who rally around common vibes, goals, and causes, fueling each other’s growth and success.

Kathy- People & Culture Manager

Favorite Plant & Why: Fiddle Leaf Fig is my favorite. They have a rep of being finicky and hard to maintain but they just like what they like. Once I understood how to keep mine alive, watching her grow was so rewarding.

Personal Growth Tip: I often ask myself “what’s the last thing you learned?” or “when was the last time you felt challenged?” That is a good gauge of personal development and if I am too comfortable.

Definition of Community: The people in my proximity. I choose my community and how involved I am. They are an extension of my support system.

Claire - In House Botanist and Greenterior Technician

Favorite Plant & Why: My favorite plant at the moment is the philodendron tortum. I love how funky and unique they are, and the bubblegum pink color of the new leaves is adorable.

Personal Growth Tip: My personal growth tip is to cultivate an environment you can grow in. Like plants, we must have the right environment around us to thrive!

Definition of Community: To me, community means a group of people that show up for each other and are invested in each other’s growth. They challenge you to reach your full potential!

Juno - Lead Shopkeeper

Favorite Plant & Why: My favorite plant right now is the moonshine snake plant. It is so gorgeous, I had never seen one until it came in to the shop! I hope I can get my hands on one next time.

Personal Growth Tip: Listen, and don’t react. If you’re reacting you aren’t listening, and you can’t communicate without listening! I’m working hard this year to stop reacting and start listening.

Definition of Community: My definition of community is the people who surround you that care for you. The people who wake up every day and root for you, and want to see you thriving. I love the community I have found at The Plant Project!

Victoria - Shopkeeper and Visual Assistant

Favorite Plant & Why: My favorite plant currently is the Philodendron Micans because of it’s beautiful velvet textured leaves and it is super easy to grow!

Personal Growth Tip: Some of the biggest life changes, no matter how crazy they can be at first, end up being the most rewarding in the long run. The universe has a way of cradling you at the end of the day.

Definition of Community: My definition of community is a group of people who fill each other’s cup, and who support each other no matter the season of life.

Shane - Shopkeeper and Greenterior Technician

Favorite Plant & Why: Plumeria. Whenever I think of vacation I immediately think of somewhere tropical and beachy. Surrounded by the warmth of sunshine, the smell of saltwater, the sound of waves and a lush display of tropical plants is my favorite place to be. With large shapely leaves and bushels of striking blooms, the plumeria transports me to my happy place.

Personal Growth Tip: Stay open minded. Listen to learn and understand and practice regular self reflection. We will continue to bloom if we allow ourselves to.

Definition of Community: A group of individuals who come together, inclusive of all walks of life and share a common goal - to support each other, to root for one another, to help each other grow. To spread love and positivity.
