Juneteenth Jazz & Journaling in The Jungle
A Soft Opening Celebration at The Plant Project
When was the last time you paused to honor how far you've come?
When was the last time you made space to imagine where you're growing next?
When was the last time you reflected on the roots that ground you?
When was the last time you celebrated the freedom to grow into who you're becoming?
This Juneteenth, we invite you to honor your journey, celebrate freedom, and plant new intentions during an evening rooted in reflection, creativity, wellness, and community at the soft opening of The Plant Project—Houston's newest Home & Garden Shop and Botanical Boutique.
Join us for a Juneteenth edition of Jazz & Journaling in The Jungle, led by artist Carla Sue. Surrounded by lush greenery, gentle jazz, and a welcoming community, you'll be guided through an experience designed to help you slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your story.

In honor of Juneteenth—a celebration of resilience, and possibility—we'll use jazz as a pathway to memory, personal truth, ancestral wisdom, and collective healing.
Enjoy thoughtful prompts, intentional moments of reflection, and creative journal-making activities through writing, drawing, and collage. Together, we'll explore what it means to cultivate freedom within ourselves while nurturing meaningful connections with those around us.
At The Plant Project, we believe wellness grows in community. More than a plant shop, we're creating a space where plants, people, and purpose can flourish together. A place where every person is welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow in their own way.
No journaling, art, or plant experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity, your open heart, and a willingness to bloom.
Each guest will receive a journal, decorative materials, everything needed to fully participate in the experience and a FREE PLANT

As we commemorate Juneteenth and celebrate the soft opening of a new community gathering space, we invite you to pause, reflect, create, and connect. Let the music soothe, the plants inspire, and the community remind you that growth is both personal and collective.
Join us for an evening of self-discovery, gentle jazz, communal creativity, and rooted joy. Because when we nurture ourselves, we strengthen our community—and when one of us blooms, we all grow.
