📍The Plant Project (Houston)
600 North Shepherd Drive Ste 117
Houston, Tx 77007
Monday January 19th 12:00-4:00pm

As we stroll the beautiful M-K-T Heights, we do so with pride, intention and honor. As the first Black Woman Owned Plant Shop in Texas, we know our ancestor would be proud. This is beating heart of our gathering. We honor this by creating a space where every voice is welcome to take root, grow, and be nourished.

As YOU stroll through our botanical boutique of greens and blooms, you’ll encounter conversations rooted in tradition and curiosity—guests sharing stories of gardens that feed their souls, lessons learned from soil and sun, and the healing power of tending living things together. This event blends plants, Prosecco, and community to cultivate connection just as we cultivate our plants: with care, patience, and a steady commitment to flourishing diversity.

This is more than an event; it’s a seasonal ritual of leaning into one another. Martin Luther King Day is not just about sharing famous quotes or posting a picture. It’s about doing the work in real life. It’s about rooting for a DIVERSE, loving and PEACEFUL world. Bring your curiosity about plant care, soil health, and eco-friendly practices, and leave with a new plant companion, practical tips, and a strengthened sense of community.

Let’s water our connections, prune away isolation, and sow seeds of solidarity that will bloom long after the day is over.
